Course Overview
The Owner of Island Miniature Schnauzers, Beverley Boyce, has been training Miniature Schnauzers for 12 years. Her training methodology is called: 0 Tolerance Alpha Training Technique.
Beverley went down to CA in May 2018 to be trained by Cesar Millan at his Dog Psychology Centre. She completed the two training classes that Cesar offers.
Her training course here on Vancouver Island includes the training magic that Cesar demonstrates on his training videos and on his television programs. Through her teaching your dog will learn her/his boundaries and yes, you will learn how to change your dog’s demeanor within 5 minutes!
You will learn how to use your training voice, how to use your body language, how to use your breathing technique and how to use the Cesar rope leash to turn your dog into a quiet, respectful and happy member of your family.
You will work with Beverley in the training ring for 1 hour. Then the next hour will be off-leashing up in our forest. And the final hour we will practice your new-found training techniques down on Whiffin Spit walking trail.
This course has been designed to answer the many queries that Beverley routinely receives in regards to the following subjects:
• Barking:
o at the door
o at your fence line
o out on the trail
o in your car
o in the play pen
o in the carrier
• Nipping hands
• Tearing up your shoes
• Pulling on the leash
• Recall (come when you call)
• Learn to trust your dog off leash
- Aggressive behaviour towards other dogs
• Lunging at other dogs/people
Course Prerequisites
• Up to date on the 4 core vaccinations – Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus and Parainfluenza. Also required are Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and Leptospirosis vaccinations.
• If you don’t have a dog, we will provide you with one of our farm dogs for the training
• 1 dog/puppy per registration – up to 30 lbs.
Presentation Logistics
Price
$225.00, GST is extra.
Three attendees per class. 2 hours in our training ring at the farm and 1 hour walking your dog or one of our farm dogs at a popular walking trail in Sooke – The Whiffin Spit.
A group picture will be taken after our walk. The course is completed when we have walked the Spit (1 hour in duration).

Registration and Payment Process
Simply email me at info@islandminiatureschnauzers.com to register. Please provide your chosen date of training. Training commences at 10:00 and is completed by 1:45.
Payment is completed through an e-transfer or a credit card number at the time of registration.
Beverley will send you an email receipt.
Summary
You will learn how to work with your dog in a calm, yet assertive manner.
We’ll have an enjoyable learning experience together where we all become one with our dogs.
