Level 1 – Train the HandlerHandler only, no dogs at this course
(the maximum weight of the Handler’s dog will be 30 lbs.)

You will learn how to utilize our unique training technique entitled “Join Up, Be One and Have Fun” which teaches you how to walk your dog on leash in a calm and respectful manner, without using any treats. You don’t bring your dog to this course; you will work with dogs at the farm who are at various levels of training. This helps to ensure you become confident in your technique without the distraction of your current issues with your dog or your old habits. It reinforces to you that our technique is effective and builds confidence in you the handler (Pack Leader) that you are able to be in charge and communicate your expectations to your dog. There will be one on one guidance throughout this course.

Objectives of this course:

You will learn how to use the rope leash with calm, focused energy & intent, combined with your body language and corrective verbalization. This will assist you in understanding how to correct barking (reactivity), lunging, screaming or other rude behaviours, resulting in a mutually enjoyable, stress-free dog walk. Your dog will know exactly what your expectations are, and demonstrates that you are trustworthy to take charge and keep them safe.
